Tips to help the hire along the way

We’re so glad you’re thinking of hiring one of our inflatables for your event. Our team loves helping parties, school fairs, and family gatherings come to life. Before you book, please take a moment to review the essentials so your hire goes smoothly and safely.

Space, Size & Access 📏🚪

Confirm the exact size of the inflatable you want and measure the area where it will sit. We’ll ask about clearances around the unit, overhead obstacles (like tree branches or low gutters), and the route from the street to the setup location. Narrow gates, steps, or tight corners can affect delivery.

The hires can be indoor and outdoor hire, but please note that external hardstanding hire for bouncy castles will have a surcharge added due to the additional safety controls our teams have to undertake to anchor the inflatable — please let us know in advance so our team can plan accordingly.


Power Availability 🔌

Most of our inflatables & extras require a standard power supply. Before booking, check that there’s a safe, accessible outdoor socket nearby or that you can provide a suitable extension. If your venue needs additional extension leads, please tell us ahead of time so we can advise on suitability and placement.


Deposit & Cancellation Policy 💷

  • To secure most bookings we require a small deposit. This helps us reserve the date and prepare our team and equipment.
  • If JRF cancels the hire due to extreme, unforeseeable weather conditions, your deposit will be refunded in full.
  • If the hirer cancels the booking, the deposit is non-refundable.
  • The remaining balance of the hire will be payable on the day, this can be done by cash or card. A portable card machine is available upon request

Identification & Licensing 🪪

At the time of equipment drop-off, the hirer must provide a valid licence or applicable proof of ID. This helps protect both you and our team and ensures the person taking responsibility for the equipment is present at delivery and during the hire.


Safety Terms & Conditions 🛡️

Our team will provide a written set of safety terms and conditions at drop-off. These outline safe usage, maximum occupancy, and emergency procedures. Both JRF and the hirer will sign this document — we’ll walk through it together so everyone understands the precautions and responsibilities.


Delivery & Set-Up Notes 🚚

  • Please ensure the delivery area is clear and accessible at the agreed time.
  • Inform us of any pets, young children, or other site specifics that might affect setup or operation.
  • If your event site has special rules or requires a permit, let us know so we can comply and advise accordingly.
  • Delivery and collection is free up to 8 miles from DE55, unfortunately due to excessive rise in diesel costs, our vans still need to run, so any additional miles outside of 8 mile radius will be charged at £1.30 per mile. We do apologise in advance for this, and hopefully everything will go back to normal soon and we can reduce this.
