Weather Policy 🌞

At JRF Bouncy Castles, safety always comes first.

Our Weather Policy follows the requirements of EN14960:2019+A2:2022, which sets strict rules for the safe operation of inflatable play equipment in varying weather conditions.

1. Wind Speed Limits

Inflatables must not be used in wind speeds exceeding:

• 21mph (34km/h) including gusts (EN14960 advise 24mph, but we at JRF feel that’s still too high!)
• This includes natural wind, gusts, and sudden increases in speed

We use trusted weather sources and on‑site checks to ensure conditions remain safe throughout your hire.

If wind speeds approach or exceed the limit set at 21mph, we will:

• Cancel the booking before delivery, or
• Immediately deflate the inflatable if already set up – Deposits will be refunded at this point.

This is non‑negotiable for safety and insurance compliance.

2. Rain & Wet Conditions

Light rain is usually acceptable, but:

• Heavy rain, persistent downpours, or standing water on the inflatable make it unsafe
• Wet surfaces increase the risk of slips and injuries
• Electrical equipment must be protected at all times

If conditions become unsafe, the inflatable must be turned off and not used until dry.

3. Thunderstorms & Lightning

Inflatables must not be used during:

• Thunder
• Lightning
• Severe weather warnings

If a storm begins during your hire, the inflatable must be evacuated and switched off immediately.

4. Heat & Sun Exposure

During hot weather:

• Users should take regular breaks
• The inflatable surface may become hot; supervision is essential
• Blowers must remain well‑ventilated and not covered

We may delay setup if the ground is too hot for safe anchorage.

5. Cancellations Due to Weather

We reserve the right to:

• Cancel a booking before delivery
• Refuse setup on arrival
• Remove equipment early

This will only happen when conditions breach EN14960 safety limits or pose a risk to users or equipment.

Where possible, we will:

• Offer alternative dates
• Transfer your booking
• Provide credit for future hire

Your safety is our priority.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

• Follow all safety instructions
• Monitor weather conditions during the hire
• Immediately stop use if wind or weather becomes unsafe
• Keep blowers and electrics dry at all times

Failure to comply may invalidate insurance coverage.
